The ledger

Every fee kwataverse has ever taken, and how to check each one yourself without asking us anything.

We say every fee is visible. This is the page that has to be true for that to mean anything.

Nothing has been earned yet, so there is nothing to show. The service that publishes this ledger is running and has seen no fee receipts — which is the honest state of it today, not an outage we are hiding.

When the first fee is paid it appears here by itself, because this page is built from the receipts and not from a book anybody keeps.

What is never on this page

Payments between two people. A tip, a sale, an envelope — those go from one purse to another and we are not in them, so we do not see them, cannot count them, and never take a share.

How to check a row yourself

You do not have to believe this page. Every row is a payment somebody made to us, and the proof is not ours to edit.

1. A fee is paid to pay@kwataverse.com over Lightning, with a tag saying what it bought.
2. Paying it produces a receipt — a signed message published by the payment provider, not by us, onto the public relays that carry everything on this network.
3. Each row above names that receipt. Open it here, or ask any of those relays for that id yourself.
4. Inside the receipt is the request the buyer signed, with the fee tag naming the product, and the invoice it was paid against.
5. The signature on a receipt is the payment provider's. We cannot make one without money actually moving, which is the whole point.

Our own key is not published yet, so nothing here is signed by us at all.

If a row here does not match the receipt it names, that is a bug or a lie, and either way we want to hear about it: write to us.
